Cloud Security Partners — Upcoming Events & Trainings
We're starting off the year with a few big events where we’ll be speaking and offering training. Get ready for a deep dive into the latest in cloud computing and cybersecurity with our very own experts, Mike McCabe and John Poulin.
Mike McCabe at Cloud Connect – DeveloperWeek
First up, Mike McCabe will be speaking at Cloud Connect, part of DeveloperWeek, this February. He’ll cover critical aspects of cloud computing related to Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) security. Expect insights on how attackers can use Terraform to access environments—and more importantly, how to defend against those techniques.
You can check out the full schedule on DeveloperWeek's agenda overview.
John Poulin at CactusCon
Also in February, John Poulin will speak at CactusCon, one of the best-known hacking conferences. His session is titled:
60 minutes: Hack this AWS account
You’ll be put in the mindset of an attacker: the detections team is on your trail, and you have one hour of access. What do you do?
This talk will present red teaming strategies for AWS accounts under time pressure. You’ll explore tools and techniques for exfiltration, persistence, and making noise—fast.
More about the talk is available at the CactusCon website.
John Poulin at KernelCon
John isn’t stopping there—he’s also hosting a two-day training at KernelCon in April. The focus: defense-in-depth engineering.
Instead of just reviewing OWASP Top Ten risks, this session will go deeper into architectural design flaws and how to build resilient software.
You’ll learn:
- How to design software to be more resilient to attacks
- How to think proactively about secure architecture
- What vulnerabilities automated tools can’t detect
- How to write secure code through real-world exercises and source code analysis
This training is ideal for both engineers and security practitioners familiar with the OWASP Top 10. Find details on the KernelCon website.
Wrap-Up
These events are excellent opportunities to learn, connect, and grow with insights directly from field experts. Whether you’re deep into cloud computing or laser-focused on cybersecurity, these talks and trainings will be full of actionable value.
And yes—we’ll be speaking at more conferences later this year too. Stay tuned!
Stay in the loop.
